Priority Programs
The health of the peoples of the Americas has improved during the last decades, thanks to the efforts of many dedicated professionals in public health, medicine, sanitary engineering, and other related areas as well as the efforts of community, national, and international leaders. These and other committed people continue their work to bring about sustainable improvements to the health of all. Much remains to be done, however.
The Pan American Health and Education Foundation has identified priority needs to tackle in the Americas; they range from children’s health, to worm busters, indigenous health, infection control and antimicrobial resistance, blood safety, friends of Bolivia, global violence prevention, women's health and aging.
