Vaccination Campaign Paraguayan Chaco

A PAHEF grant supported a PAHO/WHO vaccination campaign targeting hard-to-reach communities in the Paraguayan Chaco.

• 161 health workers were trained.
• 14,145 vaccinations were given for tuberculosis (TB), yellow fever, diphtheria, measles, polio & neonatal tetanus.
• Vaccination activities increased from 22% to 30% over the previous year.
• Vaccine coverage to prevent TB more than doubled for children under 1 year of age over the previous year.
